“Legacies of the Lost Cause: Confederate Symbols, Monuments, and Flags and What They Stand For”—The Department of History invites you to its annual Undergraduate History Conference. Keynote speaker Dr. David Coffey will discuss “Legacies of the Lost Cause: Confederate Symbols, Monuments, and Flags and What They Stand For” on Friday, April 6, from 5:30-7 p.m. in Founders Hall 118. Coffey will discuss the inflammatory nature of Confederate symbols and how and why certain symbols came to exist.

On Saturday, April 7, students will present their research projects in Founders Hall 235 and 236 from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. For a copy of the conference program, contact the History Department at .
