Rep. Jared Huffman to Discuss the Green New Deal and Climate Change Priorities College of Professional Studies

Humboldt State University invites the public to a community conversation with Congressman Jared Huffman to discuss the Green New Deal and climate change priorities 5:45-6:45 p.m., Tuesday, April 16 in the Native American Forum (Behavioral & Soc. Sciences Building [BSS 162] on Union Street).

This event, sponsored by HSU’s College of Professional Studies, is free to the public. Doors open at 5:15 p.m. Seating is limited and first-come, first-serve.

Huffman will discuss the Green New Deal proposal - what it includes, what it doesn’t, and how we can take meaningful steps toward addressing climate change and economic inequality. As Vice-Ranking Member of the Natural Resources Committee, Ranking Democrat on the Water, Power, and Oceans Subcommittee, and Member of the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis, Huffman is a leader on natural resource and climate issues in Congress.
