Shannon Berge Academic & Career Advising Center

Career and Volunteer Expo - Thursday, February 13, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., West Gym

More than 100 employers and volunteer agencies will be offering career positions, summer jobs, internships, volunteer opportunities, and more! Come dressed for success with your resumé in hand.

Employer representatives will provide general career information and answer questions about summer, seasonal, internship, and permanent employment opportunities in a variety of fields, while community organizations will provide information about volunteer and service learning opportunities locally. The Expo will also feature a professional photographer providing free headshots to students.

The Academic and Career Advising Center reminds students that employers are looking to hire professionals; first impressions make all the difference. A display in the first floor Library will showcase various professional outfits with college budgets in mind. If you are a student in need of free, professional clothing visit the Career Clothing Closet in Gist Hall 114.

“Dress to impress and bring your resumé,” says Amy Martin, Employer Relations Coordinator at the Academic and Career Advising Center, “They definitely hire students at the event.” To prepare for the Expo, students can schedule an individual appointment with a Career Advisor or get a quick resume review during the Academic and Career Advising Center’s Drop-in hours, Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

For more information, or for a full list of organizations attending the Expo, visit, call 707.826.3341, or stop by Gist Hall 114.
