Special Seminar: Dr. Stephan Schlamminger

Monday, October 3rd @ 4pm in Science A 475

Save the date! Dr. Stephan Schlamminger from the NIST Physical Measurements Laboratory will give a seminar on recent precision measurements and talk about the effort to redefine the fundamental constants of nature in a consistent framework. Dr. Schlamminger has a long history in precision physics measurements, and he is a very entertaining speaker and outreach advocate. For a description of some of his recent work see:

WRRAP Waste Reduction and Resource Awareness Program

The Waste Reduction and Resource Awareness Program (W.R.R.A.P) is a student-funded campus organization that works to reduce waste on campus. Part of the work of WRRAP is to assist in making clubs and organizations on campus zero waste. Several groups have chosen to do so this semester, and WRRAP wishes to acknowledge the following for their commitment to zero waste principles:

• The Career & Volunteer Exposition, Center for Service Learning & Academic Internships
• Food Summit, Humboldt Food Policy Council
• Zero Waste Banquet ,WRRAP
• HSU Honors Dinner, HSU Alumni Office
