Humboldt State University’s Reese Bullen Gallery presents the “2016 Art Graduates Exhibition” from April 21-May 14. A reception and awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, April 21, from 5-6:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend this free event in celebration of HSU’s emerging artists.
“Puntito”, low fire ceramic by Sara Welge, 2015 HSU Permanent Collection Award recipient. Award selected by vote of the Art Department Faculty and HSU President for inclusion in our Permanent Collection of Art.
While at HSU, students in the Art Department gain a broad array of skills and this event acknowledges their success as they prepare to enter the workforce, attend graduate school, or head on to the next step in their lives. The “2016 Art Graduates Exhibition” features a wide range of artwork that displays the students’ diverse cultures, passions, and interests while including work in a variety of disciplines including illustration, jewelry, graphic design, painting, photography, printmaking, ceramics and more.
The gallery is open Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday between the hours of 12-5 p.m., Thursday 12-7 p.m., Friday 12-5 p.m., and Saturday 10-2 p.m. Admission is free.
