The 2010 juror, Sean McFarland, an HSU alumnus who lives and works in San Francisco, has selected more than 90 artworks for the exhibition. McFarland has been in numerous shows across the country including the Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art and the San Jose Museum of Art. In 2005, he received the Phelan Art Award in photography. His works have been featured in such publications as Artforum, Artweek and Flash Art.

The Reese Bullen Gallery, named in honor of a founding professor of the Art Department, was established in 1970. It is housed in Humboldt State’s Art Building, directly across from Van Duzer Theatre.
