Campus to Host Service Learning Forum

Arcata – Humboldt State University will host a regional conference on Friday, February 27, to foster best practices in service learning models for K-16 students and the community at large.

The conference is titled “Bring Life to Learning: Service Learning and You.” The keynote speaker and workshop presenter is Veray Wickham, a service learning consultant for the San Joaquin County Office of Education.

The conference is co-sponsored by Top of the State Service Learning Regional Network, Project Serve, Humboldt State University’s Service Learning Center, the Youth to College Program, and Jacoby Creek Charter School District. It is grant funded by Learn and Serve America and Learn and Serve America Higher Education, programs of the Corporation for National and Community Service, California Campus Compact and Youth Serve America.
