Career Center Announces Major Internship Opportunity

California is home to 35 Small Business Development Centers this summer they’re offering internships exclusively to Humboldt State Students.

One student will be placed in each of the California cities hosting an SBDC. Students have opportunities to work the entire internship in the following locations: Eureka, Fort Bragg, Santa Rosa, Napa, Fairfield, Oakland, Concord, San Francisco, San Jose, Santa Cruz, Salinas, San Luis Obispo, Ventura, Santa Clarita, Oceanside, San Diego, El Centro, Riverside, Irwindale, Hawthorne, Santa Monica, Los Angeles, Long Beach, Santa Ana, Irvine, Bakersfield, Fresno, Modesto, Stockton, Sacramento, Roseville, Yuba City, Chico, Redding, Crescent City, Merced, Fullerton or National City.

Interns will assist SBDCs in rolling out new services for entrepreneurs and businesses struggling with the economic downturn. Based upon the individual strengths of each intern, individuals with these positions will assist with promotion of SBDC services, event coordination, online marketing, or assistance with implementing new processes within the individual SBDCs. Compensation is $10.00 per hour at 20 hours per week.

The letter should also indicate in which city(ies) you are seeking the internship.
