_The following message was provided by the California State University Chancellor's Office._ The California State University applauds the governor for making degree completion a top state priority. Significant progress has been made to boost degree completion rates and the CSU remains committed to reaching even more ambitious degree completion goals and closing the achievement gap among low-income and underserved students.
State lawmakers are urged to continue to Stand with the CSU by approving a final budget with an additional $101 million to implement these priorities. An increased investment in the CSU is a necessary investment in the future of California.
