Economic Fuel Hosts Nov. 15 Capitalization Workshop

Need funding to get your business started? Economic Fuel is hosting a capitalization workshop, Nov. 15 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Arcata Economic Development Corporation, Conference Room at 100 Ericson Ct. in Arcata.

Join community experts as they discuss traditional and non-traditional types of funding, including commercial loans, economic development/gap loans and crowdfunding. Find out about the commercial loan process and learn how the 5 C’s of credit can help you qualify for a business loan.

Speakers include Sandy Neal of the North Coast Small Business Development Center, Ross Welch of Arcata Economic Development Corporation, Nicole Schwerdt of U.S. Bank, Rhonda Wiedenbeck of Beck’s Bakery and Rosie Wentworth of Consumer Credit Counseling Services.

Economic Fuel is an annual competition that awards seed capital to local student entrepreneurs.
