HSU Veterans Enrollment and Transition Services (VETS) hosts its second annual Veteran's Day Run/Walk on Monday, Nov. 12 in Redwood Bowl on the HSU campus. Ceremony and race begin at 9 a.m.
All proceeds from the race support the VETS’s efforts to reinstate its outdoor program for student veterans. The program has proven effective in assisting veterans with the transition from service to student life but had been discontinued for financial reasons. Race entry fees, along with apparel and merchandise sales will go toward funding the future of the outdoor program.
Students from HSU’s Waste-Reduction and Resource Awareness Program are also participating in the run/walk to reduce waste and to provide free water stations at the event.
