HSU Hosts Science Café on Evolution of Universe

Inspired by the new NOVA series "Fabric of the Cosmos," Humboldt State University’s first Science-on-Tap Cafe will be held Thursday, Dec. 8 at 5:30 p.m. at Blondie's Food & Drink at the corner of L.K. Wood Boulevard and California Avenue in Arcata.

The first of a monthly series to be held during the regular academic year, the Dec. 8 NOVA “Cosmic Cafe” will focus on science’s current understanding of space, time and the evolution of the universe. Major unanswered questions in physics and astronomy will be addressed. The cafe also will explore related research efforts at Humboldt State’s College of Natural Resources and Sciences.

Science Cafes are a national and international outreach program to promote scientific discussion in an informal, public setting (see sciencecafes.org). The general public is invited to attend. Refreshments can be purchased at Blondie’s.
