HSU Named a Forbes Top School

Humboldt State University was recently named to the 2021 Top Colleges list by Forbes magazine.

Taking the global pandemic and widespread calls for social justice into context, the media company re-evaluated its methodologies to measure America’s best colleges and universities. For the first time, the 2021 list takes into account low-income student outcomes and graduate earnings. Public schools performed better than ever with five public universities in the top 25.

In an article published by Forbes, Christian Kreznar writes, “Public universities can deliver the most outstanding education to the broadest range of students at the most affordable price.”

Forbes included 600 undergraduate private and public institutions on this year’s list, which represents only 15% of the nearly 4,000 degree-granting postsecondary universities in the U.S.

HSU was recently named one of the 127 best colleges by The Princeton Review. The education services company lists HSU in the Best in the West section of its “2022 Best Colleges: Region by Region” feature. And earlier this month, U.S. News and World Report named Humboldt State University as the 12th top public school in the West.
