Humboldt State Hosts OLLI Open House June 2

Humboldt State University will host the summer open house of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute on Saturday, June 2, from 1-3 p.m., in the Great Hall of the College Creek Apartment Complex adjoining Harpst Street in Arcata.

OLLI memberships, class registration and faculty introductions will be available and attendees will take a tour of HSU’s new Schatz Energy Research Center, which advances renewable energy technologies and hydrogen energy systems.

Supported in part by the Bernard Osher Foundation of San Francisco, OLLI at Humboldt State offers a program of academic and popular classes for learners age 50 and above, under the auspices of the university’s Office of Extended Education. Memberships are $35 annually.

OLLI benefits include discounts and priority registration for classes, an HSU student ID card, bookstore, library and computer privileges, and the opportunity to purchase a Jack Pass and a pass for the HSU Student Recreation Center.
