Highlights from the Week of September 27.

Lumberjack Men’s Soccer Stays At No. 13 in the Nation
For the second week in a row and first time in school history, the Humboldt State men’s soccer team stayed at No. 13 in this week’s United Soccer/NCAA Division II Top 25 National Rankings. HSU is 6-0 on the season after defeating rival Chico State, 1-0 on September 25 for the first time in 11 meetings. Marco Silveira scored the game-winning goal and Adrian Gallardo recorded his fifth shutout for the Lumberjacks. The Jacks have recorded six straight shutouts to begin the 2021 season. Women’s Soccer Enters CCAA Play 3-2-2
After tying 1-1 with Chico State on September 25, the women’s soccer team finished the non-conference season 3-2-2. Clara Lenihan scored the game-tying goal for HSU in the final minutes of regulation. HSU will host Cal State San Marcos on October 1 and Cal State San Bernardino on October 3. Volleyball is 2-4 in CCAA Play
Humboldt State’s volleyball team lost in three sets to SF State on Thursday. Lindsay McLaughlin had a team high six kills along with Katie Nall. McLaughlin and Hannah Cantrell each had two blocks. Cross Country Team To Be at Willamette
After their second place finish at the Jim Hunt Invitational on September 18, the Lumberjack men’s and women’s cross country teams return to the course October 2 in Salem, Oregon, running in the 56th Annual Charles Bowles Invitational.
