OLLI Open House Set for Aug. 11 at HSU

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) will host its Fall 2012 Open House on Saturday, Aug. 11 from 1-3 p.m. at the Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center, 921 Waterfront Drive, Eureka. Early registration and OLLI faculty will be available.

Attendees who renew their OLLI Humboldt State membership will be able to purchase discounted tickets for the 16th Annual Blues by the Bay, Sept. 1, Labor Day Weekend, at Halvorsen Park, Eureka. The Open House will be the last opportunity for the discount price of $65 for all-event tickets (a $30 saving) and $45 for a single day (a $10 saving).

Supported in part by the Bernard Osher Foundation, OLLI at HSU offers both academic and fun classes for learners age 50 and above through the campus’s Office of Extended Education. Annual memberships are $35 and benefits include discounts and priority registration for OLLI classes, an HSU student ID card; bookstore, library and computer privileges; and purchase of a Jack Pass and a pass for the HSU Student Recreation Center.
