Humboldt State University’s 2018 ideaFest features research and projects from HSU students and faculty on Thursday, April 19, from 3 to 5 p.m. in the University Library. The event is free and open to the public and refreshments will be served.
About 200 students and faculty poster presentations from HSU’s three colleges will be showcased. IdeaFest also includes live performances and presentations during the reception.
Projects and presentations cover a variety of academic topics across disciplines, ranging from rooftop farming in Hong Kong to a music program promoting social connection among veterans with PTSD. Another presentation explores the historical origins and contemporary views of The Star Spangled Banner as the national anthem and three “unofficial anthems” in the United States.
Posters will be on display from noon to 3 p.m. and the formal reception begins at 3 p.m.
IdeaFest participants have the opportunity to publish their work in Humboldt Digital Commons brings together all of HSU’s research and creative works under one umbrella — and a research paper in the ideaFest Journal.
