Campus Orders Repairs to Clock Tower Elevator

HSU maintenance staff are acting to restore service as quickly as possible to the University Center clock tower elevator, which has been shut down for mechanical repairs.

The campus is working with OTIS Elevator repair crews and the state elevator inspector to ensure the system is up and running again at the earliest possible time. Resumption of service depends, however, on the availability of OTIS service personnel and the state inspection timetable. In the interim, the university is posting new pathway and directional signage in the vicinity to minimize inconvenience and disruption. Alternative approaches for those with mobility problems can be arranged with the Student Disability Resource Center, Room 055 in the lower level of the Library, at 826-4678 and humboldt.edu/disability. Inquiries can also be submitted to Associate Vice President of Facilities Management Traci Ferdolage at 826-3646 or traci.ferdolage@humboldt.edu. Updates on repairs and progress will be announced as developments warrant.
