Citing a broad research capability and access to unique natural environments, U.S. News & World Report has ranked Humboldt State No. 15 for public regional universities in the Western United States. HSU ranks No. 57 on the full regional ranking, which includes public and private universities. The announcement comes as the news organization publishes its annual Best College Guidebook.
The report defines regional universities as schools that offer a broad range of undergraduate degrees and some master’s programs. Regional universities are further divided into four geographical groups: North, South, Midwest and West.
The annual Best Colleges ranking is based on a variety of factors including academic quality and student outcomes.
