County Looking to HSU for Input on Economic Development Strategy Update

The County of Humboldt’s Economic Development Division wants to engage Humboldt State University staff and faculty in updating its Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy.

The community input phase will be used to assist the County in formulating objectives for the strategy in a series of meetings this Spring. Topics range from workforce development in different industries, the development of business incubators and industrial sites as well as strengthening the ties between Humboldt State faculty and research and the community at large.

The first meeting will take place Friday, Feb. 17 at 9 a.m. The meeting will be held at the County Office of Education in Eureka at 901 Myrtle Ave.
