HSU Earns National Salute from Peace Corps

The Peace Corps rates Humboldt State University among “Top Colleges and Universities” in its annual ranking of more than 3,000 schools nationwide. Currently, 24 Humboldt State alumni are serving as Peace Corps volunteers, placing HSU 21st among medium-sized universities.

HSU is number one among the medium-sized campuses of the 23-campus California State University system.

Since the Peace Corps was formed in 1961 by the Kennedy Administration, 755 HSU alumni have served as volunteers. More than 200,000 Americans have volunteered since then to work in 139 countries.
