Oregon Sea Grant Announces new Natural Resource Fellowship

Oregon Sea Grant and Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife have partnered to create a postgraduate fellowship opportunity.

The purpose is to provide a postgraduate with one year of technical work experience and training while contributing to the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife mission to protect and enhance Oregon's fish and wildlife and their habitats for use and enjoyment by present and future generations. The Fellowship will be located in Newport, OR.

Marine Fisheries Focus – Reconstruction of historical rockfish catch in Oregon and improving consistency between stock assessments. Any Ph.D. or Master’s level graduating student or recent graduate who will have completed a degree in fisheries, resource management, statistics, or other related field is eligible.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate knowledge of fisheries management, modeling, data analysis, and sampling design. Postgraduates from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
