For the past several months, Kiewit has been very busy with site work. Milestones accomplished to date include: installation of site fencing; site clearing and grubbing; initiation of site utility installations, including re-location of all public utilities to Union Street and Fieldhouse Lane; and installation of the foundation pile system.
So, what will be happening in the next few months?
Project managers say the next tasks will include: installation of foundation system and some shear walls; installation of an east side retaining wall and new 17th Street driveway into the project area; completion of site utility work; installation of new storm drain system within the project area; begin work required to re-pave Union Street and Fieldhouse Lane.
