On Thursday, Oct. 24 from 6-9 p.m. in the lobby of the Lumberjack Arena, vintage Humboldt State Athletic gear including jerseys, shirts, and shorts, will be sold. This will be held in conjunction with HSU’s volleyball match at 7 p.m. versus Cal State San Marcos.
BASKETBALL RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER
HSU women’s and men’s basketball teams began official practice this week for the 2019-20 season. Humboldt State’s men’s basketball team will host Simpson on Friday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. in its first of two exhibition games. CROSS COUNTRY HOSTING CCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Humboldt State men’s and women’s cross country teams will be hosting the 2019 CCAA Cross Country Championships at Baywood Golf & Country Club in Arcata this Saturday, Oct. 26. VOLLEYBALL RETURNS HOME OCTOBER 25
HSU’s volleyball heads into their weekend at Cal State Los Angeles and Cal State Dominguez Hills with a 5-9 overall record and a 1-6 CCAA record. The Lumberjacks will return home on Oct. 25 and 26 when they host Cal State San Marcos and UC San Diego with both matches beginning at 7 p.m. at Lumberjack Arena. Summer Hansen leads the ‘Jacks with her 138 kills while Riley Tishlarich recording a team-high 291 assists. Follow HSU’s volleyball team.
WOMEN’S SOCCER IN FINAL STRETCH
The Lumberjack women’s soccer team is in the final stretch of their 2019 season. HSU is 2-6-2 overall and 1-4 in the CCAA heading into its weekend matches on Oct. 18 and 20 versus Cal State East Bay and Cal State Monterey Bay. Including that weekend, HSU will end its season with five of the Lumberjacks’ final seven matches at College Creek Field. MEN’S SOCCER IN FINAL WEEKS OF THE REGULAR SEASON
Humboldt State’s men’s soccer team is also in the final stretch of the regular season as five of its last seven matches will be played at College Creek Field. The Lumberjacks are 5-5 overall and 1-4 in the CCAA heading into their weekend matches versus Cal State East Bay and Cal State Monterey Bay on October 18 and 20.
