Latest Achievements
PI Dr. Jieun Lee (University of Northern Colorado), along with co-PIs Dr. Gary Langham (American Assoc. of Geographers), Dr. Amy Rock (UCGIS), and Dr. Laxmi Ramasubramanian (CUNY-Staten Island) have received a $1 million NSF ADVANCE grant to support women in geography and geospatial sciences. Building on the Golden Compass project and UCGIS' TRELIS program, the 4-year project works with departments to support increased representation and advancement for women in STEM, specifically examining opportunities for equity and inclusion for foreign-born women faculty.
