As part of a Colloquium Series called Psych Talks presented by SOAR (Scholars of Academic Research), Dr. Cutcha Risling Baldy will be discussing contemporary Indigenous theories of developmental psychology and the revitalization of women’s coming-of-age ceremonies.
The talk, titled Adolescence, Decolonization, and Native Women Ceremonies, will also cover the importance of ceremony in addressing issues of historical trauma, gender violence, and ongoing settler colonialism.
The event is this Thursday, March 23 from 3-4pm in BSS 162- Native American Forum.
