A Film Fest with a Revolutionary Flavor

The Revolution of Film making is here. The non-profit Humboldt Film Festival invites you to join the REVOLUTION on May 1st through the 7th at the John Van Duzer Theater on The Humboldt State University Campus. This years judges are Al Hayes, Kevin Kearney, and Jessica Mae Stover.

Forty-four years ago a small group of film enthusiasts from Humboldt State University set out to showcase independent film making in Humboldt County; an area known for artists of many different mediums including film making. The first festival in 1967 attracted a little over two dozen films and the entry fee was a modest five dollars. Now, the festival has gone digital and attracts entries from six continents (We’re crossing our fingers for Antarctica next year).
