Humboldt State's 2005 Scholar of the Year and economics department chairman, Steven Hackett, has just published the newest edition of his textbook, "Environmental and Natural Resources Economics."
The book, which is widely known for forging scholarly breakthroughs in new areas, such as the sustainability of natural resources, now includes a chapter on fisheries economics and policy, and the chapter on global climate change now incorporates new scientific information and evolving public policy
Hackett's textbook is designed for economics majors as well as students in interdisciplinary programs, such as environmental science and policy.
