Each time, the results count toward eventual qualification for the NCAA Division II race. “There was less than a second between (HSU and SPU),” HSU head coach Robin Meiggs said. “We talked about some of the things we did last week, and we’ll try to do a better job of executing the game plan and be consistent in our races against them.” …HSU’s novice crews will have an opportunity to redeem themselves this week following a couple of rough outings last week. The Lumberjacks fell to last place in the novice eight and second novice eight events. “We had one athlete who was ill and probably shouldn’t have competed,” Meiggs said. “We will probably be missing her and one other rower this week.”
