The award is voted on and selected by the 11-member institutions’ Faculty Athletic Representatives (FARs).
A senior guard from San Diego, Calif., Moyer averaged 14.6 points and 4.0 assists in helping Humboldt State to a share of the regular-season CCAA title and an NCAA Division II West Regional berth. Moyer was named first team All-CCAA and team Co-Most Valuable Player in a vote of his teammates. He concluded his career second in Humboldt State history in assists and third in points.
Additionally, Grayson graduated Cum Laude this past May, earning a degree in business administration. He also is a two-time recipient of the Dr. Hal Charnofsky Memorial Award, given annually in recognition of CCAA student-athletes who have distinguished themselves in the classroom and in their sport, and selected by their respective athletics department members in consultation with the school’s FARs.
The award also recognizes community service involvement and Grayson was an active member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) that raises money for local and national charities.
A senior from Gresham, Ore., Oswald is a three-time All-American and two-time All-CCAA champion in the hammer throw. She finished second in the event at this year’s NCAA Championships and won the CCAA title. The Humboldt State record-holder in the hammer, Oswald also was the university winner at the 2008 Mt. Sac Relays.
Academically, Oswald graduated Cum Laude this past May with a degree in art. She is a two-time recipient of the Dr. Hal Charnofsky Memorial Award. Oswald is a two-year member of SAAC and has served as a volunteer graphic designer at the Multoonomah County Animal Shelter and World Shelters, a disaster relief non-profit organization that benefits victims of tragedies such as Hurricane Katrina.
