Basketball Celebration November 1
WIth the Humboldt State men’s and women’s basketball season right around the corner, the Lumberjacks will be celebrating the start of hoops season on Monday, November 1. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. Come and meet the 2021-22 Lumberjack men’s and women’s basketball teams and have a chance to win some prizes!
Silveira Named Two-Time CCAA Player of the Week
Humboldt State senior men’s soccer player Marco Silveira was named the CCAA Men’s Soccer Player of the week on October 18. This is the second time this season that Silveira has earned this honor. The senior forward scored a goal and had three assists as the Jacks went 2-0 last week against Stanislaus State (2-1) and Cal State East Bay (6-1). The 8-2-2 Lumberjacks will host Sonoma State (Friday, Oct. 22) and SF State (Sunday, Oct. 24) in their final home games of the regular season. For results, go to hsujacks.com/sports/mens-soccer.
*Cross Country at CCAA Championships *
The Lumberjacks will participate in the CCAA Championships on Saturday, Oct. 23 in San Marcos, California. The top 15 finishers in the men’s 8K race and the women’s 6K race will earn all-conference honors. Women’s Soccer Fall Short in Two Matches
In both of the Lumberjack matches last week, HSU out-shot its two opponents but unfortunately the ‘Jacks couldn’t score a goal. Humboldt State lost 2-0 at Stanislaus State and 1-0 to Cal State East Bay. The Jacks will host Sonoma State (Friday, Oct. 22) and SF State (Sunday, Oct. 24). Jacks to Host Nationally Ranked Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State San Bernardino
The Lumberjack volleyball team went 0-2 against Sonoma State last week. The ‘Jacks lost in four in Lumberjack Arena and in three in Rohnert Park to the Seawolves. They will host No. 22 Cal Poly Pomona on Thursday evening and No. 9 Cal State San Bernardino on Saturday evening.

Basketball Season Tickets Season Tickets Available

The Lumberjack women’s basketball team will host Southern Oregon on Friday, Oct. 29 at 5:30 p.m. in an exhibition game at Lumberjack Arena. The first time for Jacks fans to see Humboldt State men’s basketball team at Lumberjack Arena will be on Saturday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. when it hosts Lincoln University.
