Economist and author Christopher Thornberg will discuss real estate bubbles and California's economic growth as part of Humboldt State University's Department of Economics Occasional Lecture Series on Thursday, Nov. 30, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. in Science A 564.
Dr. Thornberg, who teaches in the MBA program at UCLA, is an expert in the study of regional economics, real estate dynamics, and business forecasting. He has done specialized work on the economic impact of NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement), the California power crisis, port security, California water transfer programs and the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the United States.
Dr. Thornberg has appeared on CNN, CNBC, and Fox News and is widely quoted in the press. Prior to founding his own business, he worked with the UCLA Anderson Forecast, regularly authoring outlooks for California, Los Angeles, and the East Bay.
