Peal, the California Collegiate Athletic Association and Daktronics West Region Player of the Year, is one of 10 athletes chosen to the West All-Star Team, comprised of players representing the Great Lakes, North Central, South Central and West regions. That squad will take on a unit of 10 representing the East, Northeast, South and South Atlantic regions.

The forward's selection to the team makes him the second player from HSU chosen for the honor. Former teammate Kevin Johnson was selected to participate in last year's game, also held in Springfield.

Last year, Johnson led the West All-Star Team to a 97-92 win over the East All-Stars, and was selected at the West All-Stars Most Outstanding Player. Johnson finished the game with 18 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocked shots.
The All-Star Game will be part of NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Elite Eight which will be held March 26, 27 and 29 at the MassMutual Center in Springfield.
