Men’s Soccer
Still battling for a higher position in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) North Division standings, the Humboldt State men’s soccer team hosts a pair of league games against SoCal teams. On Friday, HSU goes up against Cal Poly Pomona at 7 p.m., and on Saturday, the Jacks host Cal State San Bernardino at 2 p.m.
Women’s Soccer
Starting off this week’s doubleheaders in Redwood Bowl will be women’s soccer action featuring the Jacks matching up against squads from the CCAA South Division. Humboldt State faces Cal Poly Pomona at 4:30 p.m. Friday and battles Cal State San Bernardino at 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
Volleyball
For the second straight week the Lumberjacks travel for CCAA matches, and even worse, the trips will be divided into two separate excursions. Humboldt State goes on the road Wednesday to face travel partner Sonoma State at 7 p.m. in Rohnert Park, and after a quick return trip to Arcata, heads out to La Jolla for Saturday’s match against UC San Diego.
Football
Coming off a confidence-building homecoming victory over Azusa Pacific, the Lumberjacks resume Great Northwest Athletic Conference play when they travel to face Dixie State in St. George, Utah on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
Men’s and Women’s Cross Country
Another journey north takes the Lumberjack runners to Klamath Falls, Ore., where they’ll participate in the Oregon Tech Invitational on Saturday. Racing begins at 9 a.m.
