Remove Completely: Paintings of the awkward and ephemeral
Sylvie Dakota Huhn
Huhn uses layers of recycled materials in her mixed media paintings to depict veiled and animalistic characters in rural landscapes. This imagery represents emotional repression and isolation. Her reception will be held on Feb. 10, 2012 from 6 to 9 p.m., to coincide with Arts! Arcata.

Alison Kirishian and Loren LeBlanc
This duet presents paintings and ceramics that depict the human figure and animals. Kirishan in interested with the dialogue between humans, animal and objects and what the internal dialogue is and how it reveals itself. The artists’ reception will be Feb. 10, 2012 at 6 p.m.
