Reese Bullen’s permanent collection features art by alumni, past and present faculty, community members and donations from other parts of the world such as Africa and Asia. The new exhibit comprises an assortment of ideas, mediums and materials, demonstrating the vitality of the gallery and the Art Department. It also highlights the importance of the Museum and Gallery Certificate Program. Students from one of the certificate classes chose and installed the pieces on display.

“This distinctive program allows students to maintain, research, and exhibit artworks from the University’s Permanent Collection and gain experience in the various aspects of the museum and gallery work,” said Michele McCall-Wallace, Bullen’s director and certificate instructor.

Named in honor of a founding professor of the Art Department, the Reese Bullen Gallery was established in 1970 and is located in the department opposite Van Duzer Theater. “Views from the Vault” runs Sept. 25 through Oct. 16.

Hours are noon to 5:00 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday; Thursday from noon to 7:00 p.m.; and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. On-campus parking permits are $2.00 per day and available at One Harpst Street, just off L.K. Wood Boulevard.
