AS to Host ‘Humboldt Rising!’ Music Festival

Humboldt State's Associated Students will host the _Humboldt Rising!_ music festival, on Saturday, April 25 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the Special Events Field on campus.

The music festival will include a lineup of student-led bands and local favorites including Spliff Moth, Comfortable, Diggin Dirt, and Liquid Kactus. KRFH 105.1 FM Arcata, HSU’s student-run radio, will streaming the event live starting at 4 p.m.

“The AS Presents committee and our advisor have been hard at work putting together an old tradition that once took place on HSU’s campus,” AS Presents student representative Banning Ramirez said. “We’re really excited to bring this back.”

Celebrations Catering will provide free tamales starting at 4 p.m. while supplies last. HSU’s Take Back the Tap will supply free water for attendees who bring their own empty, non-glass beverage container. Picnics are encouraged for all festival attendees. Animals, alcohol, and illegal and/or illicit substances will not be permitted.

The music festival is open to the public. Admission is free and will take place rain or shine.
