Humboldt Energy Independence Fund Seeks Members

The Humboldt Energy Independence Fund (HEIF) Committee is looking to fill student positions for next academic year. The committee is made up of students, faculty, and staff filling both voting and non-voting roles.

HEIF was created in 2007 by a self-imposed $10 per student fee. The committee oversees allocating approximately $140,000, generated annually from this fee, to student driven project proposals that reduce the environmental impact of energy use at HSU.

The committee has always been strongly student centered and student lead, something we want to continue into the future.

The committee meets twice a month during the semesters. If you would like to be involved in addressing environmental issues of energy use by HSU please submit your resume and a brief cover letter to James Robinson IV by April 30th.

Please indicate if you would like to be considered for either or both voting or non-voting positions. Please see: www.humboldt.edu/~heif/ for more information on past projects and our mission and goal.
