Fischer, who has 30 years of experience in human resources, comes to the North Coast from Suamico, Wisconsin, bringing with her a broad range of human resources know-how, including labor and employment relations, benefits administration, payroll processes, strategic plan development, and experience leading staff professional development.
Fischer most recently served as director of human resources and affirmative action, and special assistant to the vice chancellor, at University of Wisconsin, Green Bay.
"I believe that a human resource function adds value to a university by providing programs and services that allow faculty and staff to be successful," Fischer said. "I am eager to become affiliated with a values-based, progressive institution that prides itself on its contributions to social and environmental responsibility."
