President Rollin Richmond and Provost Robert Snyder will welcome the campus community at Convocation ceremonies for the 2012/13 academic year on Friday, Aug. 17, at 8:30 a.m. in Van Duzer Theatre. Refreshments will be served immediately following in the Van Duzer Quad.
Convocation will honor the Jacks Rowing Team, which won its first-ever NCAA Division II National Championship this past spring.
The annual staff/faculty barbeque is slated for noon – 1:30 Friday at the Campus Events Field on B Street, between Science D and 17th Street. Food and beverages will be provided courtesy of University Center and HSU Dining Services.
