Forum Set to Gather Input on the North Coast’s Marine Protected Areas

Humboldt State University is hosting an open forum to gather input regarding priorities and concerns for the upcoming Marine Protected Area (MPA) Baseline Monitoring work on the North Coast. The forum is free and open to the public and will be held at the Caspar Community Center, on Saturday, Jan. 26 from 1 to 5 p.m. An RSVP is requested.

HSU Faculty and others are currently developing monitoring proposals and are seeking community members interested in collaborating with local experts on issues that affect the Mendocino area.

Facilitating the forum will be John Reiss, professor of Biological Sciences and interim director of the HSU Marine Facilities. The forum will include a faculty panel with breakout sessions for individual proposals.
