Stock is a specialist in Latin America culture with an emphasis on Cuban film and video, and she will discuss “Filmmaking in Cuba During Times of Transition,” on Thursday, Nov. 18, at 7 p.m. in the Kate Buchanan Room, University Center. A reception will follow and the public is invited.
Humboldt State’s International Education Week 2010 starts Monday, Nov. 15, with a noon opening ceremony in the Quad adjoining University Center, followed at 1 p.m. with a presentation in Goodwin Forum, “War and Higher Education in America,” by HSU Director of International Programs Guru Ghosh.
A host of other forums is slated through Friday, ranging from the foreign language crisis and environmental and global literacy to Peace Corps and Fulbright opportunities, the Iranian nuclear threat and African, Brazilian and Chinese affairs, among others.
