This year’s Lumberjack Weekend brought a funkadelic burst of music, pride, and community spirit to Cal Poly Humboldt from October 2–5.
Saturday’s Block Party—headlined by funk legend George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic—set the tone for a weekend filled with celebration, creativity, and school pride. Students, alumni, families, and community members came together for events like the Distinguished Alumni Dinner, Camp Cryptid Drag Show, and the Fall Makers Market, along with food trucks, bounce houses, face painting, games, live music, and free ice cream. Volunteer projects, alumni sports games, and a redwood forest hike rounded out the festivities, showcasing Humboldt’s signature mix of creativity, service, and connection to nature.
