CSUEU, Human Resources and the Administration will provide a briefing for CSUEU, UAPD (Union of American Physicians and Dentists) and non-represented staff and managers on CSU furloughs on Tuesday, July 28, at 2:00 p.m. in Van Duzer Theater. Briefers, including Vice Presidents, will explain how the furlough system will work and detail the calendar days when furloughs will be in effect. At the same time, Human Resources will launch a new Web site Tuesday spelling out support services that employees can tap as furloughs get under way and proceed in the year ahead. In addition, Paula Nedelcoff of the Employee Assistance Program will make two presentations titled “Concrete Skills for Coping with Change” on Wednesday, July 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Goodwin Forum, Nelson Hall East, and on Tuesday, August 4, from noon until 2 p.m., again in Goodwin Forum. Her briefings will survey tips and practices for stress management and dealing with added financial pressures and emotional tensions. Registration for these workshops is available at http://training.humboldt.edu/ or dial Jim Stemach at extension 5177 for registration assistance.
