Special recognition went to HSU’s 2015 Outstanding Students award winners, Anthropology major Alyssa Haggard and Environmental Science major Jacob Potter. Haggard achieved a 3.81 grade point average and was the first undergraduate to serve as coordinator of the Archaeology Research Lab. Potter posted a 3.80 GPA and was an active volunteer for Youth Educational Services, an organization of student-run community service programs.
Supported by a capacity crowd of family and friends, graduates enjoyed mild spring weather as Rossbacher, HSU’s seventh president in its 101-year history, briefly addressed each group of graduates.
