The following is sent on behalf of the HSU Emeritus and Retired Faculty and Staff Association (HSU-ERFSA).
Congratulations, you are retiring soon! Thank you for your service to HSU! Our staff, faculty, and lecturers keep the university humming. You can still be involved with this wonderful institution after retiring by joining the HSU-ERFSA. The cost is nominal, and the benefits are many. First, we have a wonderful slate of presenters sharing fascinating information across disciplines. Upcoming presentations, on the second Thursday of the month, are February 10, Fernando Paz, coordinator of the Latinx Center for Academic Excellence, March 10, Berit Potter, an ERFSA award winner from the Department of Art, April 14, Arne Jacobsen, Environmental Resources Engineering and on May 12, Rafael Cuevas Uribe, of Fisheries Biology. We hope to return to in-person luncheons at a safe time going forward.
We encourage you to consider applying for official emeritus status; information to do so is at our website. February 1, 2022 is the application deadline for applying for Emeritus status this semester. Emeritus benefits include free parking on campus, retaining your HSU email account if active, HSU Library privileges, and the ability to sign up for the Wellness and Recreation Program. For more information, go to https://erfsa.humboldt.edu.
Join HSU-ERFSA here: https://commerce.cashnet.com/humboldthmo?CNAME=FACULTY+ASSO. Enrollment is only $20 per semester to help defray the cost of advertising, mailings, socials, and other miscellaneous expenses.
We hope to welcome you into the HSU-ERFSA family at the beginning of the Spring semester. Remember, you can join even if you do not have emeritus status but are retired. We hope you follow the directions on our website to become emeriti for all the additional benefits!
