Information Technology Services (ITS) is exploring options for improving HSU email and calendaring systems. A campus-wide committee was formed early spring semester 2007 to evaluate the current email system and seek out solutions that would enhance and improve overall communications both on and off campus.
The committee, comprising staff, students and faculty, is charged with developing recommendations to Anna Kircher, HSU CIO, by mid-fall semester of 2007. To help determine the requirements of each constituency group (alumni, faculty, staff, and students), an online survey has been developed. The survey provides an opportunity for the HSU community to participate in the selection of an email and calendaring solution. The survey will be available for two weeks beginning April 25th at: http://www.humboldt.edu/emailsurvey Respondents will be entered into a drawing for an iPod Shuffle. Winners will be notified by email once the survey is closed.
Early next fall, look for on-campus demonstrations of email and calendaring products and vendors. Solution providers will showcase their products which best meet HSU's email and calendaring needs and requirements.
