Titled “Collaborate, Create and Communicate,” the exhibit is funded in part by alumni gifts to the Humboldt Loyalty Fund, which supports a wide range of university programs including student scholarships, faculty research, academic programs, the library and special projects.
The exhibit is a production of students in the Museum & Gallery Certificate Program and developed by four student curators: Sophie Chorich, Kelly Croke, Fonda Hoover and Brittany Osterhout.
A variety of media is represented, including photography, sculpture, painting and interactive installations.
The public is invited to attend the opening reception on Thursday, February 14 from 4-6 p.m. at the Reese Bullen Gallery. The exhibition will continue through March 14.
Attendees will be able to interact with exhibits such as “One of Many,” a photo booth for self-portraits that will be available at the reception only.
Throughout the exhibit’s run, visitors will be able to leave their mark with a fingerprint on a community mural or explore an array of HSU restroom graffiti.
Funding for Collaborate, Create, Communicate comes from the Humboldt State University Loyalty Fund, HSU Instructionally Related Activities Fees and the HSU Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
