Humboldt State University’s Humboldt Institute for Interdisciplinary Marijuana Research (HIIMR) will host a lecture on the regulation of southern California’s cannabis market on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. in the Native Forum (Room 162) adjoining the Behavioral and Social Sciences Building.
Nathan Donahoe of the Cannabis Consulting Group, a Silicon Beach-based think tank, will present an in-depth analysis of Los Angeles-area medical marijuana collectives and the role regulation plays in the city’s cannabis industry and entrepreneurship. Donahoe’s lecture is titled “Green Rush LA: Medical Cannabis Confusion in the Wild West of Weed.” He advises the City of Los Angeles on cannabis policy. He is also an advisor to the Cannabis, Health and Young Adult Study funded by the National Institutes of Health.
