The College of Arts, Humanities and Sciences and Humboldt State University has partnered with USA Projects, a social networking and crowd funding site for aspiring artists.
HSU artists can develop a profile, make contacts and solicit funding for their projects at usaprojects.org/organization/humboldt. Creating a profile is free and open to all HSU students, faculty and staff.
To seek funding, artists must demonstrate they are accomplished in their field by having received an award, grant, residency or fellowship. Projects may include the visual arts, architecture and design, media, music, dance, literature, crafts and theater arts.
USA Projects has awarded over $17 million to U.S. artists since 2007. For more information, visit usaprojects.org.
